A peek into my year ahead

Thinking about the future is a wild ride, isn’t it? It’s like this mix of excitement and dread that adulthood serves up on a platter. You plan things out meticulously, but in reality, those plans usually resemble a house of cards in a strong breeze. But hey, I’m at that stage in life now – two degrees down, one more to go – where I’m ready to face the future head-on. I’m even game for a bit of fortune-telling, but just for the next year, let’s not get too carried away.

So, picture this: May next year, I’m donning that cap and gown, all set to step into the real world. I’ve got two potential paths in mind. First, there’s the stage, and honestly, I have no clue where it’ll take me, but I’m stoked about getting some real hands-on experience in the industry. If all goes well, I might just score a job and dive head-on into the Montreal workforce.

Then there’s the backup plan, ’cause you gotta have one, right? I could stick with my current job and maybe make a leap into the marketing department. Not the most graphic design-friendly route, I’ll admit, but who knows what cool opportunities might pop up?

I know, I know, these are not “out of this world” paths. But let’s leave the world-changing plans to the younger crowd; they’ve got the energy for it. As for me, well, let’s just say my ambitions are a bit more down-to-earth.

You might be wondering, “What about more school? Or moving somewhere new?” Trust me, the whole “more school” thing is a whole other story, and as for moving, Montreal is where my heart’s at for now. So, I’m all set and looking forward to what the next year has in store.
